We were very pleased to be involved in this prestigious toilet fit out that has just been awarded Loo of The Year 2019.We were involved from outset on this project working closely with the architect, designers and contractors for this project which included many different types of glass in different areas, the project was on a very tight programme which we were pleased to keep up with and with the contractor making such a good job of the design drawings we were able to have the glass manufactured and ready to install before the construction work had been started on site.
The project consisted of internal cladding of the toilet cubicles in 10mm Satin Low Iron Glass, back painted in colours specially formulated for the architects to give exactly the style they were looking for. In this instance 10mm glass was used to give a perception of depth to glass and with all apertures being CNC cut the accuracy of every aperture was perfect allowing easy installation of all ironmongery and sanitary ware. Above the cubicles we installed 21.5mm laminated toughened glass in purpose made glazing channels to fill the void from the top of the cubicles to the underside of the ceiling.
We also installed a mixture of toughened satin glass and mirrors, the vanity units with the satin glass having back painted symbols to indicate the hand dryers that were installed behind light boxes to the rear of the glass to give a beautiful lighting effect. Below the vanity units we installed 6mm low iron, toughened back painted white glass to complete the installation.
With deliveries having to be between midnight and 4am, in this busy environment the project was a complete success and completed in a very tight timescale.
